$45 (Includes gst) for one hour group lesson. We have a min of 2 and max of 4 per group, usually a beginner group only has 2 clients at one time.
Lessons start in the second week of term. We require the whole term of lessons to be paid in full at the start of the term. Just like, for example ballet classes, there are no refunds if a class is missed. Lessons are on no matter the weather unless you hear from me. If I do cancel a lesson I will organise another time to make up for it
If you are a new client and want to start riding lessons part way through a term, you will need to pay in advance for the remaining number of weeks left in the term.
We go ahead with lesson rain, hail or shine. We have an indoor riding area that we can use if it is raining, as well as an undercover tacking up area, where we can ride and do other learning about horses, such as tacking up, grooming, picking out feet, learning the tie up knot or halter rope knot, etc. Usually we can still get out and ride anyway, even if it is raining, so bring a good rain jacket each week just in case.
What to wear: Long pants are best, as some saddle stirrup leathers pinch bare legs. Bring a jersey or wind breaker as it can be colder in the country. Sturdy shoes or boots with a small heel are best but sneakers are ok if you don’t have any boots. Riding apparel is optional and not essential, jeans/trackpants/tights are fine.
