Getting More Out of Your Horse – please email us if you are interested in doing this clinic and we will make a date.
This clinic is for people who have a good handle on their horse but are wanting to push through to the next level.
The main topics covered would be:
1) Learning how to do meaningful ground work that challenges and corrects negative attitudes and behaviours and sets your horse up for a productive calm ride.
2) Ironing out any issues your horse has, ie scared of certain things, floating issues, walking through water/mud, standing still while you mount etc
3) Cantering with confidence.
4) Improving your riding in challenging contour.
Learning would be through demonstrations by Zane, one on one instruction, watching other people’s one on one to help cement the learning, and riding out on to put into practice what you have learnt.
Refinement Clinic – please email us if you are interested in doing this clinic and we will make a date.
This clinic is for people with broken in, young, green horses that need some refinement
OR an older mature horse that has become dull, unresponsive, lazy or sour about its work.
And its also suitable for a rider that has lost their confidence, is nervous or needs some tools to increase their leadership skills with their horse.
The weekend would cover three main things:
1) How to do foundation ground work with significance for the horse
2) Preparing the horse to comfortably and confidently accept a rider
3) Riding out calmly and confidently. Setting the horse up to tackle challenging situations and navigating what your horse finds ‘scary’.

I got my first horse, a mare, and I was at a loss as to how to get her to behave for me. Sometimes she was great and other times she was not. Pulling back, hard to catch, difficult to bridle etc. Zane taught me some natural horsemanship exercises and the difference in our relationship was almost immediate. She was more calm and I was more confident. Zane really helped me in a kind and patient way that has really changed the relationship I have with my horse – Jean

Just had a private lesson with Zane, I absolutely LOVED it, Zane was amazing, definitely knows his stuff! The lesson was a perfect mixture of learning some basics to riding in the paddock following some weaners which was exactly what I needed and wanted.
I left on a huge buzz and have been dreaming about doing it again all weekend
Such a great experience and will be booking in again next week and have also booked in a long weekend later in the year. If I had more money and didn’t have 2 small people to look after I would’ve been back already.
DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

Just had the most amazing camp at Falling Creek. The hosts Mel and Zane are amazing, their hosting skills left nothing to chance and their attention to detail was fantastic. Zane’s horse knowledge is ‘wow’ and, if I can think of anymore positive words, their horse’s and treks were once in a lifetime activities, western riding over 4-5hrs without touching a road, dream come true riding. Thanks again and we will be back
