Equine Assisted Learning
A unique and amazingly effective program to take clients to the next level in confidence, self awareness and growth. We use one on one contact with a horse to empower a person in their life journey. Working with horses can help them become more aware of how their actions effect other people, to learn to practice empathy and emotional regulation, to reflect upon themselves and make positive life changes that help them and the other people in their world.
What outcomes can I expect? Clients learn to catch a horse, put on a rope halter, groom and pick out hooves, saddle up and ride. Riding would include riding an obstacle course, games, challenges, working with stock and riding around our farm. Learning outcomes would include responsibility, caring for animals, thinking about other people and how our actions affect others, confidence, self awareness etc
Cost $75 for a private lesson or $45 for a shared group lesson (max 4 people), which includes use of horse and gear and teaching. Lessons run for the weeks of the school term (9 or 10 weeks), rain, hail or shine as we have an indoor riding arena for lessons on rainy days.
