We are at 639 Waikupa Road, allow 20 minutes from Wanganui. Our property is clearly signposted. Once at our house, park in the carpark area and walk down the driveway, past the shed with 3 grey tanks to the woolshed.
Wear sturdy shoes with a small heel if possible to prevent the foot slipping around in the stirrups, (not chunky /extra grippy soled shoes) Gumboots are fine for kids who will most likely ride in an English saddle but not for adults as it damages the adult western saddles. Also long pants are better for kids to prevent pinching and rubbing from the saddle, but shorts are ok for adults in a western saddle. In the winter/wetter months wear gumboots to the woolshed then change into your ridding shoes as it can be muddy. Also a rain jacket is good to bring, we can tie to the saddle just in case its neededI usually take a few photos of your trek and messenger/WhatsApp them to you after your trek, and you are welcome to take your own photos along the way too.
